Not wanting to besiege you with TOO many pictures, yet, I wanted you to see more of the BEAUTIFUL and STRANGE sights on my last walk. This pink hibiscus deepened it's color and richness towards the center. The vining plant in the second picture has the most unusual flower. Can you identify it? I'm at a loss!
Never having to walk on bridge overpasses before, I finally did and the view from the middle was astounding! These overpasses are VERY old and I guess that Moanalua Highway was the fastest route to take before the H-I Freeway was built. Pedestrians could safely cross the busy roadway on this bridge. To tell you the truth, it's a lot faster using this than to wait at the light intersection to walk across.
The night-blooming Cereus, closed in the daylight hours, must look spectacular when fully open in the evening. I thought that it already looked beautiful when I passed it, don't you?
Seeing a coconut tree stump resting on a lava rock wall, I'm thinking...WHY? Is this some sort of Hawaiian tradition that I'm not aware of? I'm STUMPED! HaHa! Aloha no! (Love, indeed!)

"Haole Hula" danced by my halau and performed live by Raiatea Helm! The Walking Hawaiian has been busy dancing at the Honolulu Zoo. I am in RED, left of the lady in Orange, center front row. The song was written by Robert Alexander Anderson in 1927. He was a Punahou graduate and prolific composer of songs like, "Lovely Hula Hands" and "Mele Kalikimaka!" Enjoy!
